December 11th, 11am

Relaxed Morning Cabaret
for 0-5s and their grown-ups

featuring weird art
and a lovely atmosphere

Summerhall, Edinburgh
£5 per adult, all kids free

Ships descend through the skies with big bags of explosives! Pan-dimensional demolition experts gather to witness this, the solar system’s first scheduled destruction! But there is hope: the infants of this planet have gathered together to build their first warp drive and have just pressed its big green button…

ANATOMY is a quarterly live art cabaret based in Edinburgh’s Summerhall. Our final early years extravaganza is My First Warp Drive.

Our early years cabaret happens in a calm and friendly space, with comfortable seating, enough space for 0-5s to be happy, and nearby changing facilities. Each features a section of child-focussed and genre-bending performance that’s been made for both early years and adult audiences to enjoy.

The event is BSL-interpreted and texts of performances are available on request.

Tickets are £5 per adult, with up to two children attending free per adult. Tickets are available now from Summerhall. Anatomy shows usually sell out in advance, so book now to avoid disappointment!

This event will feature:

The Yellow Magpies
And Each Other

hannah-lying-down

And Each Other is a comical, poignant and playful exploration of childhood and growing up. Using movement, music and audience interaction to tell its story, it looks at the things we forget as we get older, and what to do when we remember them. From Edinburgh based company Yellow Magpies, this will be a joyful and intimate journey through the wee things that used to be everything, and the huge things that used to be nothing

The Party Shrimp

The Party Shrimp is a colourful character from another world; a little confused, shy and bewildered but deep down very lovely. With physical theatre and an odd kind of puppetry The Party Shrimp will say hello- without words (what with being a shrimp and all)- and with any luck play a little music for us.

Callum MacAskill
It’s Not Easy Being a Gremlin

Song and puppetry about the difficulties of being a tiny green monster.
